This book was created to educate children about their journey through their oncology cancer treatments, medical procedures and time in hospital focusing on a Wondero having and Bone Marrow Transplant.

The book includes age appropriate information/definitions for children about their medical treatments and procedures and what they may expect in hospital.  Positive messages & affirmations to support children's resilience, coping strategies and bravery have also been included.

The main objectives of the book are to encourage resilience, allow children to gain some control and stay positive.

 We hope that the books will be an encouraging and helpful educational tool for children/families and be used as a springboard to encourage children to share their thoughts and feelings and worries with staff and loved ones.

 Book dedication: The books are dedicated to the amazing children who have taken the journey through the Cancer Centre for Children at The Children’s Hospital Westmead.

 Along with their families these children face daily treatments and challenges that children should not endure. They show so much resilience and courage and should be an inspiration to us all.
